Transfer Digital Photos to Canvas.

That's what we do!

Advances in digital print processing in recent years have opened up a new art form which looks set to dominate the 21st century. Printing digital images, including giclee fine art reproduction printing, direct to canvas is becoming ever more popular now as a result of the technical advances made by large format print manufacturers. We can even process prints from mobile phone images now that the latest mobile phones have higher resolution cameras.

If you are feeling geeky you can read about our technology below or follow this link to Step1 of putting your photo onto canvas.

Our Technology

We thoroughly researched the digital print market taking several months before choosing Canon as our preferred supplier for printers. Canon, one of the world's front runners as a digital printer manufacturer have launched the 'image PROGRAF iPF8100' large-format printer, which is ideal in terms of how you can express your creativity.

Now you can bring your biggest, most ambitious projects from inspiration to realization with uncompromised accuracy, extraordinary detail, and spectacular colour. Built to put advanced printing technologies into the hands of artists and photographers, the new 44" iPF8100 printer will help fulfil creative potential like never before.

The printer benefits from two 1.07 inch print-heads with a total of 30,720 nozzles resulting in high-resolution output up to 2400 x 1200 dpi with tiny 4pl droplets of ink and has built in calibration for consistent reliable results. The printer boasts a broad pallet of 12 colours resulting in vibrant colours, subtle mid- tones, smooth gradations and fine detail. In addition the 4 monochromatic shades deliver dramatic contrast and truer grey tones as well as being colour stable, light-fast and water-resistant.

Canon's advanced high-speed L-COA Processor intelligently manages print data and directs the high-density print-heads to deposit ink with unprecedented speed. This unique processor helps ensure that complex graphics and colour-intensive photographic images are optimized for clarity, richness, and accuracy.

To maintain constant true reproduction of digital images it is essential to have calibrated printers and calibrated monitors. As experts in the digital print processing business we ensure that our media type is profiled to our printer... what this means in simple terms is that we analyse the operation of our printer in terms of measuring the pressure and frequency that ink is deposited onto the media and then create a specific profile to ensure the print-heads control the pressure and frequency of the inks in relation to the specific media... this ensures that we achieve precise and exacting reproduction. We create a printer profile for every type of media we use; this enables us to achieve the high definition expression and the delicate colour gradation required to meet the exacting demands and applications of professional artists and photographers.

We also ensure that our monitors are calibrated regularly, this means that we are able to print true colours and that the colours we view on the monitor matches the colours printed onto the canvas.
