How do I place my canvas print order?

Is it safe to order online?

Yes. Our online payments are secured by Paypal's Payment Gateway so you can be sure of absolute security.

What types of digital files do you accept?

We print on canvas from almost all formats of digital files, including JPEG, TIFF, EPS, PSD and RAW. The larger the file sizes the better!

The most popular file formats are:

JPEGs (Joint Photographic Experts Group), these are compressed files and therefore quicker to upload.
TIFFs (Tag Image File Format), these are uncompressed files and therefore will take longer to upload.

You can attach the image when ordering online, or send us a CD-ROM or DVD if you'd prefer.

TIP! Always set your digital camera to the highest/largest quality (resolution) setting to maintain image quality.

What is ppi?

Pixels per inch (ppi) indicate the resolution of a file. In other words the density of pixels per inch. A mega pixel represents 1 million pixels per inch. E.g. A 3 mega pixel camera will produce an image size of 2048 x 1536 = 3,145,728 pixels (3 mega pixels). If you place your cursor over the file you will know the pixel size of your image. The higher the ppi the larger the image. When taking images on digital cameras, set it at the highest resolution. It is important to maintain the aspect ratio when enlarging on either side. If it is not possible to print to your exact size requirements, or if your image quality is not good enough, we will advise you.

What if my picture isn't of a high enough quality?

Don't worry we have the expertise to enlarge your image with the use of our sophisticated 'image enlargement' software. This allows us to increase the size of a small image without compromising the quality of the canvas print.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our canvas prints. If we feel that your image won't produce a stunning canvas, we'll let you know before we print and discuss the alternatives.

My picture is not in a digital format. Is that ok?

Yes! You can send us pictures in practically any format - photos, negatives, transparencies and even drawings, as long as it's under A3 in size (42 x 30 cm)! We'll scan your picture free of charge and at a very high resolution.

When you order online, simply choose the option to send your picture by post. You'll then be given a reference number and address to send your picture. Your original picture will be returned with your canvas print

Do I have to own the copyright for the image I want printed on canvas?

Yes - please ensure that you are not infringing copyright and have the necessary permissions to reproduce an image onto canvas.

Will I see a preview of the canvas before you print it?

Yes, we want you to be pleased with your canvas print, so we don't just print your picture and hope for the best! Our team of experienced designers will email you a preview of your picture before it's printed so you can be sure exactly how it will look.

When will I receive the preview of my canvas prints?

If you pay by credit or debit card, you'll be emailed the preview of your canvas prints within 2 working days of placing the order.

If you pay by cheque, you'll receive the preview within 2 working days of the cheque clearing - this is usually within 7 working days of placing the order.

If you haven't received the preview of how your canvas print will look, please check your inbox as well as your Junk Mail folder before contacting us!

Will the colours I see on-screen be the same as the finished canvas?

We work hard to match colours as closely as possible. Due to variations in monitor calibrations, there may be a slight difference between the colours on-screen and the colours on your canvas print.

Will you change my pictures without consulting me?

We'll only edit (crop) your pictures to ensure they're at the correct size to be printed on canvas.

If you don't ask for any other changes - like effects or image enhancements - then we'll leave your pictures exactly as they are!

And don't forget - we'll send you a preview of your canvas prints before they're printed so you can be absolutely sure they're perfect.

Do you do any other sizes of canvas prints?

All the sizes we offer are listed on the website. Please feel free to ask if you have any specific size requirements.

What will the edges of the canvas print look like?

You decide! We have a number of options so that you can choose the side that looks best:

Gallery Wrapped - the canvas with the printed image is stretched over the edges of the frame.
Museum Wrapped - the edge of the canvas is white.

Your canvas prints will never need re-stretching. The quality of the canvases we use and our stretching process eliminates the risk this happening.

Will the colours on my canvas prints fade?

We use the best inks available, so you can be sure the colours on your canvas print will stay vibrant for life, we guarantee it!

How do I look after my canvas prints?

Keep your canvas print away from direct sunlight
Display your canvas print in a moisture-free environment at room temperature, and at a safe distance from any sources of direct heat (eg fireplace)
Do not use any form of liquid or chemical products to clean your canvas print. Any dust on the surface of your design can be removed with a soft dust brush.

How do you pack canvas prints?

After your canvas prints have been printed and framed, they are wrapped in a protective bubble wrap with corner protectors and securely packaged in a reinforced cardboard box. Your canvas prints are then couriered by TNT to your door. You can track your order on line.

When will I receive my canvas print?

We aim to deliver your canvas prints within 7 working days. Most orders are delivered sooner; we work extremely hard to deliver as quickly as possible!

Please remember to approve the proof we send you as soon as possible as any delay in your approval could cause delays in delivering your canvas print.
